Your VIN is sent to NHTSA for this lookup. DGD privately records the VIN, lookup time and result, and uses an anonymous browser cookie to estimate usage. These records are visible only to DGD admins and are not added to your profile.

DGD’s free VIN checker brings together factory specifications and recall information from public NHTSA records. It’s a starting point for learning about a vehicle; it does not include a full vehicle history report.

We’d like to introduce optional reports with more information about the vehicles you’re researching, including recorded mileage and title history where available. Our planned price is $25 per report, with monthly packages for dealers who need multiple reports. The VIN checker will remain free. Paid reports and dealer packages are not available yet; final features, coverage and pricing will be confirmed before launch. If you find this tool useful, sharing DGD with a friend helps us continue building.

Vehicle history reports are not currently offered on DGD. The VIN checker remains free to use.
